Three individuals were sent to the hospital following a helicopter crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.
While details are still coming to light, initial reports from the California Highway Patrol noted that the crash occurred around 2:09 p.m., close to the Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast event, right in front of the Waterfront Beach Resort.
Video obtained by KTLA shows the helicopter approaching the street with onlookers nearby before it suddenly plummets and crashes near the road.

A spokesperson from the Huntington Beach police reported that two people were aboard the helicopter, and both managed to escape. Three pedestrians sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
No further details about the victims’ conditions or what caused the crash were immediately released.
