A couple from Wisconsin was found dead inside a car just days before celebrating their 1-year wedding anniversary.

According to a news release from the Harvard, Illinois Police Department, a couple was discovered by an officer on October 6 after spotting a parked vehicle with its hazard lights flashing. Upon inspection, the officer found both individuals deceased inside. They were later identified by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office as Rachel Dumovich, 29, and Brandon Dumovich, 30, of Sharon, Wisconsin, as reported by NBC5.

Authorities reported that both individuals suffered gunshot wounds and noted that a firearm was found in the car. While the police department withheld further details regarding the circumstances of their deaths, they confirmed that the McHenry County Major Investigative Assistance Team was involved in the investigation.

Following the discovery, police advised residents in the vicinity to remain indoors; however, it was “later determined there was no ongoing threat to the community.”
