A private investigator involved in the Celeste Rivas case is reaching out to the public, hoping to gather more information that could assist in the investigation.

Steve Fischer, a seasoned investigator, was brought on board by the owner of a property rented by singer D4vd, whose real name is David Burke. Fischer commenced his investigation shortly after the Los Angeles Police Department conducted a search of the rental home.

According to CrimeOnline, the tragic discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas’s body was made on September 8. Her remains were found inside a Tesla registered to Burke. Initially parked near Burke’s rental residence in the upscale Bird Streets area of Hollywood Hills, the vehicle was later relocated.

The police located the Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood after receiving reports from local residents about an abandoned car with Texas plates on September 6. The car had been in the lot for several days before officers uncovered the grim contents.

The LAPD revealed that Celeste’s dismembered body had been placed in a bag and concealed in the car’s front trunk. Fischer has shared the findings of his investigation with the police, though the identity of the driver remains undisclosed.

During an interview with Law&Crime Sidebar, Fisher said that security footage showed who moved the Tesla and that it likely happened in late July.

He turned his findings over to LAPD, but did not reveal the driver’s name.

“It’s very clear. That neighborhood is filled with surveillance cameras,” Fisher said.

Fisher added that based upon his investigations, the Tesla had not been driven in a “long time” before it had been parked, despite Burke talking about the vehicle on social media.

“It was super dirty, caked-on dirt; I’ll tell you this was in late July,” Fischer said.

He added that he uncovered no evidence of who placed Celeste’s body in the car or when it happened.

“When it was moved to that position, it was already like that. So that car had not been used in a very long time.”

Fisher also explained he hasn’t uncovered any evidence that Celeste died inside the Hollywood Hills home or that a body was taken from the residence and placed in the vehicle.

There are also no photos of Celeste at the residence, Fisher said, and the last known photo taken of her was on July 2, 2025.

Fisher said it’s likely that Celeste had been staying at another location.

Fisher said evidence also places others at the home, and that there was only one house key.

“There are people that have photos and videos, and we’ve gotten a lot of photos and videos from inside the home itself, so we can put people at certain dates and times at the house, and there are a lot of them. It’s in the thousands.”

So far, LAPD has not confirmed Fisher’s findings and has not named a suspect in the case.

Burke, who embarked on the “Withered World Tour” on August 5, has since retained an attorney and canceled his remaining tour dates. He also transferred the deed to two of his Texas homes to his mother.

“D4vd was on tour, but somebody was in that house,” Fisher said, explaining that someone was at the home between the time Burke starting touring and when the Tesla had been found.

“Who had that (house) key is probably the same person, you know, that had access to the Tesla.”
