Vice President JD Vance has sharply criticized former White House press secretary Jen Psaki for her recent remarks about his wife, Usha, which he described as ‘disgraceful’. Psaki’s comments implied that Usha needed to be rescued, a suggestion Vance found offensive.

In response to inquiries from reporters during his visit to Israel, Vance expressed his disbelief at Psaki’s statements, labeling them as ‘disgraceful’.

Vance, who married Usha in 2014, emphasized that she is fully capable of speaking for herself. He praised her as a wonderful partner, underscoring his appreciation for their relationship.

The vice president expressed gratitude for having Usha by his side, both in life and on this particular journey, hoping she shares the same sentiment about their partnership.

He concluded by affirming their commitment to serving the nation together, emphasizing his pride in having Usha accompany him, not just on this trip, but throughout their shared endeavors.

These comments were made in response to Psaki’s statements on the well-known podcast, I’ve Had It, hosted by Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan.

On Tuesday’s episode, titled Devil Wears MAGA, Psaki appeared as a guest and issued a startling message to the second lady.

‘I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife,’ Psaki said when discussing her thoughts on Vance.

‘Like “Are you OK? Blink four times. Come over here, we’ll save you,”‘ she added.

Welch and Sullivan enthusiastically agreed with Psaki’s curiosity as the former press secretary offered her unfiltered thoughts on the vice president.

‘I think the little Manchurian candidate JD Vance wants to be president more than anything else,’ Psaki said.

She said she believed that Vance would do anything to assume the position, arguing that he was ‘scarier’ than Donald Trump in some ways.

‘He’s a chameleon who makes himself into whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear from him,’ Psaki argued.

She then joked that Vance didn’t have ‘rizz,’ slang for charisma, and branded the vice president as ‘odd.’

Her comments received a wave of backlash, with Hugh Hewitt penning an opinion piece in Fox News under the headline: ‘Jen Psaki, domestic violence is never funny.’

‘Jen Psuki must be transferring her own personal issues onto others. @jrpsaki is a dumba** who has no comprehension of the truth and has to overcompensate for her lack of talent by saying untrue things,’ White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung wrote on X.

Usha met Vance at Yale Law School and went on to clerk for Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The Vances’ marriage has frequently been criticized by some on the left. A video posted by Salon called on Usha to divorce her husband over the summer.

Another opinion piece by the Los Angeles Times questioned: ‘How can Usha Vance stand by her husband as he fans bigotry?’

Despite the speculation that Usha strays from her husband’s politics, the second lady has maintained that she supports the Trump administration.

In a rare interview on Meghan McCain’s podcast, Usha said that she was ‘along for the ride and enjoying while I can,’ when asked about being the second lady.

‘In a dream world, eventually I’ll be able to live in my home and kind of continue my career and all those sorts of things,’ she added.

Jai Chabria, a family friend of the couple and political consultant, told USA Today last year that the two were a team, adding that Usha was a ‘wonderful advisor’ to Vance.

‘When he goes out and makes a great speech, she advises him and, and gives him her opinion, and it’s taken seriously,’ he added.

Usha introduced Vance at the Republican National Convention last year, praising his curiosity and devotion to her and their family.

Daily Mail has reached out to MSNBC and the White House for comment on Psaki’s remarks.
