In a recent announcement, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that since January, over 4,300 migrants have been removed from the Minneapolis area. Notably, this figure includes 3,316 individuals with criminal backgrounds, 98 identified gang members, 11 individuals classified as known or suspected terrorists, and two foreign fugitives.

During a press briefing alongside officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Noem shared broader national statistics, stating that the current administration has arrested and deported approximately 515,000 migrants across the United States since the beginning of the year. Of these individuals, 70% are facing pending criminal charges.

“We enforce the law,” Noem asserted, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to prioritizing the removal of what she described as “the worst of the worst.”
