Authorities in Texas are actively searching for a 2-year-old boy who has been missing since last year.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Sherlock Vasile Jones was last spotted in Buda back in August 2025. According to FOX 7, there is an active arrest warrant for his noncustodial mother, Jewel Ashley Jones, on charges of felony interference with child custody.

Investigators suspect Sherlock is with his mother, and they may be in the Marble Falls area or possibly have left the state altogether.

Sherlock is described as being 3 feet tall, weighing approximately 39 pounds, with fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Jewel Ashley Jones is described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
