AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. () – The Aiken County Career & Technology Center opened its doors for its annual Community Night this Tuesday.
This occasion provided an opportunity for students to present their talents and various projects to the community.
During the event, school officials expressed their enthusiasm for the soon-to-be-unveiled Career and Technology Center, set to open its doors to students next academic year.
“The anticipation surrounding the new facility has been extraordinary,” remarked David Harris, principal of the Aiken County Career and Technical Center.
In addition, attendees were introduced to the new logo for the facility on Oct. 28. The design incorporates diverse elements representing all Aiken County High Schools.
The logo features a palette of Smoke Gray, Stardust, Silver, Dark Gray, Galaxy Blue, and a touch of Copper. Nine stars symbolize the eight high schools and Special Populations/Special Programs. Gears emphasize the Aiken Works initiative, while a column signifies Aiken Technical College and the building’s innovative architecture. The flame embodies the Aiken County Public Schools torch.
The One Cent Sales Tax helped pay for the center.
