Silver Alert Announced for Missing 80-Year-Old Marion County Resident

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for Ronald Sharp, an 80-year-old man who has gone missing. The alert was announced on Friday night as concerns for his welfare grow.

According to officials, Ronald Sharp was last seen departing from his residence on Thursday, situated at 10169 SW 63rd Ave in Ocala. At the time of his disappearance, he was driving a dark-colored 2025 Jeep Wrangler, identified by the Florida license plate “HBR.”

The last communication with Sharp occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. During this call, he indicated that he was in the vicinity of Route 21 North in South Carolina, raising further concern for his safety.

Authorities have highlighted that Sharp has multiple medical issues, which have prompted his caretaker and law enforcement to worry about his condition and whereabouts. The release emphasizes the urgency of the situation given his health concerns.

The community is urged to assist in the search. Anyone who may have information about Ronald Sharp’s current location is encouraged to contact emergency services by dialing 911 immediately.
