The American political left often finds itself at odds with its opponents, and when it comes to targeting individuals, they sometimes focus their criticism on conservative white women. One recent example of this is Erika Kirk.
Erika Kirk has endured significant hardships. Her husband, Charlie Kirk, a prominent figure, was tragically killed in September, leaving her to raise their two young children alone. Despite the gravity of this loss, some on the liberal side were disturbingly open in their reactions, with some expressing glee over Charlie’s death. This reaction appeared to go unchecked among certain progressive circles within the Democratic Party.
In a recent incident, Kyle Kulinski, the host of the ‘Secular Talk’ podcast, added fuel to the fire by sharing a controversial image online. The image depicted a fictional Halloween costume, featuring Erika Kirk in tears, clutching a hat overflowing with money, while her mascara ran down her shirt and leather leggings. The costume was mockingly labeled ‘Fake Grieving Widow Grifter.’
After her husband, the father of her two young children, Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September, liberals celebrated, unabashedly, in public. But that ghoulishness – which went seemingly unchallenged by dim lights of the Left – only whetted the appetites of the rising progressive hoards that now run the Democratic Party.
Late last week, host of ‘Secular Talk’ podcast Kyle Kulinski posted a mockup of a fake Halloween costume, featuring a picture of a sobbing Erika Kirk, holding an overflowing hat full of money, as black mascara streamed down her white t-shirt onto her tight leather leggings.
The costume was title: ‘Fake Grieving Widow Grifter.’
In the wake of Charlie’s death, Erika has stepped into his shoes, taking up his life’s work and the mantle of Turning Point as CEO. To Kyle, a pinko YouTube influencer, she’s a fake grifter?
I thought that criticizing women for their courage, ambition and clothing choices was sexist? But, of course, when the target of the vitriol is a conservative, all bets are off.

I’m sorry, Kyle, if Erika’s public grief doesn’t fit your notion of mourning.
What a soulless husk of man.
If Kyle was the only voice spewing this vicious misogynist garbage, then I would have ignored him – as I imagine most women in his life have – but he wasn’t the only voice.
In fact, one of the most egregious rhetorical acts of anti-woman hate that I’ve ever witnessed, which was directed at Erika Kirk, went viral!
On October 29, in her role of CEO of Turning Point, Erika introduced Vice President JD Vance at an event at the University of Mississippi.
Following an emotional speech, during which Erika evoked her late husband, she greeted the vice president on-stage with a hug.
Now, anyone who has been paying attention knows that Vance and Kirk had a long history.
Their friendship began nearly a decade ago after Kirk reached out to Vance to compliment him on a podcast appearance. Years later, Kirk pushed for President Donald Trump to tap Vance as his running mate. And I’ll never forget how Second Lady Usha Vance comforted a shaken Erika Kirk, holding her hand as they stepped off Air Force Two after escorting Charlie Kirk’s body home from Utah to Arizona.
But none of that matters to the trolls, who seized on a picture of Erika embracing JD and ran with it.
Left-wing Twitter exploded. The responses are too gross to repeat. These bottom-feeders will read the worst into everything Erika Kirk says, does or wears.
Though I couldn’t ignore the once-respected liberal institution turned digital-only toilet paper the New Republic, which headlined an article, ‘Why the Hell Did JD Vance and Erika Kirk Hug Like That?’
Following an emotional speech, during which Erika evoked her late husband, she greeted the vice president on-stage with a hug
It was only six years ago that the New Republic was retracting a homophobic op-ed that referred to Mayor Pete Buttigieg as ‘Mary Pete,’ and ‘the gay equivalent of Uncle Tom.’
Trading homophobic bigotry for sexism, I see?
It’s all so nauseating. And, it gets even worse!
The New Republic article went on to amplify voices that baselessly suggested JD Vance may be plotting to divorce his wife and marry Erika to create a wacko’s vision of a ‘super Republican’… part Vance, part Kirk, all white and thoroughly Christian.
Little do these deranged leftists know – or perhaps they do – they’re playing right into the hands of racists. They’re starting to sound a lot like slithering Jew-hater Nick Fuentes.
When Fuentes is not busy denying the Holocaust or calling JD Vance ‘a fat race-mixer,’ he’s smearing Usha Vance with horrific, unprintable racist slurs and fuming about the skin color of the vice president’s children.
Nick Fuentes is also utterly obsessed with Erika Kirk. ‘Erika Kirk is a spook. Erika is a plant. We all know that,’ the Discord incel ranted recently. ‘She was shopping around for a political husband. God knows where she comes from. She found one in Charlie Kirk.’
I know that I am giving Fuentes the oxygen that he pathetically craves and feeds on. But I think the point needed to be made. Only the most foul, the most abominable, among us traffic is these disgusting games.
Isn’t it just perfect that the Left is finding common cause with Nick Fuentes.
