A former contestant from “American Idol” finds himself embroiled in legal troubles, facing multiple felony charges for allegedly engaging in sexual activities with a minor.
Based on information from the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura’s online records cited by TMZ, authorities apprehended 45-year-old Randy Madden on October 30. He is confronted with several charges, including:
- Unlawful sexual intercourse
- Anal and genital penetration by a foreign object
- Oral copulation of a person under 18
- Sending harmful matter
- Luring
- Dissuading a witness from reporting a crime
These alleged incidents reportedly took place between July and September, as detailed in the court documents.
Madden has entered a plea of not guilty to all accusations and secured his release from custody by posting a $100,000 bond on Tuesday.
He is slated to appear in court again on November 13.
During the eighth season of the show, Madden participated as a contestant but was eliminated by the judges after his audition in Phoenix, as reported by Mercury News.
