A man from North Dakota is facing allegations of threatening former President Donald Trump, reportedly posting ominous messages like “can you feel my footsteps coming?” online.

Andrew Walter Sandvik stands accused of making threats against a federal official, as detailed in a criminal affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime. His exact age remains unspecified.

According to an FBI agent’s statement within the court documents, a Fargo police detective alerted authorities on September 4 about Sandvik’s “alarming online posts” targeting Trump and law enforcement. The posts featured a profile image of a person bearing a strong resemblance to Sandvik, wearing a beanie.

The affidavit mentions that one of Sandvik’s posts seemed to threaten local police, while another hinted at bomb-making activities. Investigators received a tip from an acquaintance of Sandvik’s who identified his residence.

By September 17, law enforcement officers engaged with Sandvik, mainly about cinder blocks and bottles filled with liquid found at the camper he occupied on his mother’s property. No wires were visible from the bottles. During this time, authorities discovered Sandvik had made additional “more concerning” posts about Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel.

One of his posts, written in all caps, declared, “Secret Service it is no secret I am your biggest threat you better get here fast,” while another challenged the FBI, CIA, and international intelligence agencies to “come get me!”

“Trump, Can You Feel My Footsteps Coming?” reads another, followed by the words, “Death is now marching towards the failed and weak Donald Trump!” Sandvik also allegedly posted, “Patel IM WAITING FOR YOU.”

A website was referenced in at least one of the posts, with its URL containing the suspect’s last name, according to investigators. The site, which was later financially tied to Sandvik, contained more “concerning posts of violence,” authorities said.

“Law enforcement, U.S. Military and National Guard STAY HOME!” read one followed by the words, “You will die an angel’s death if you attempt to protect Donald Trump.” Another mocked the death of the late activist Charlie Kirk.

More posts were investigated. One read, “Trump is weak and will be destroyed soon,” while another stated, “Trump’s Blood Judgement Is Here! … You will soon find yourself without insides as they will be pulled from your body while your limbs are ripped out of their sockets.”

After speaking with witnesses, authorities determined the posts were made by Sandvik and that he had also painted Airsoft guns black to “appear as realistic as possible.”

Sandvik was arrested, and he was scheduled to make an initial appearance in federal court on Friday.
