CHICAGO (WGN) – In a tense situation in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, U.S. Border Patrol agents came under fire during a routine immigration enforcement operation.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the incident occurred near the intersection of 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue. An unidentified individual in a black Jeep reportedly opened fire on the agents before fleeing the scene.
