Unredacted Epstein Emails: Trump’s Virginia Giuffre Link Surfaces

A new series of bombshell emails obtained by the Daily Mail has revealed that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein repeatedly claimed former President Donald Trump “spent hours” with Virginia Giuffre, who was recruited at age 16 by Ghislaine Maxwell from Mar-a-Lago—but that Giuffre herself stated Trump “never did anything wrong.”

The House Oversight Committee Democrats, through a subpoena, released a set of unredacted emails on Wednesday that have sparked considerable interest. These emails reveal a conversation between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in April 2011, where Epstein mentions Donald Trump. He cryptically noted, “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. virignia [sic] spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75% there.” Maxwell responded, “I have been thinking about that…” Although the context of their exchange remains unclear, it adds a new layer to the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s activities and the push for transparency.

Though the Democrats omitted Virginia Giuffre’s name from the released documents, the Daily Mail managed to confirm her identity through the original emails. Giuffre has consistently stated that Trump did not engage in any improper conduct, describing him as “couldn’t have been friendlier” during their interactions.

The emails were part of a collection of documents acquired by Congress from the Epstein estate after a prolonged legal struggle. Notably, Trump was neither a sender nor a recipient of these emails. He has never faced criminal charges related to the Epstein-Maxwell cases and had previously barred Epstein from Mar-a-Lago, alleging he was recruiting underage employees from the spa, including Giuffre.

In another email from 2019 to journalist Michael Wolff, Epstein claimed Trump was aware of the situation, stating, “Trump knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop,” referring to Maxwell. Wolff, in a separate email, mentioned that CNN intended to question Trump during a primary debate about his association with Epstein. Epstein, aiming to devise a strategy, asked Wolff, “If we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”

Trump has consistently asserted that he severed ties with Epstein due to his inappropriate behavior. In 2019, aboard Air Force One, he stated he had labeled Epstein “persona non grata” for attempting to recruit young women from Mar-a-Lago’s spa, including possibly Giuffre. This week, White House officials criticized the Democrats for selectively leaking information and emphasized that there is no evidence linking Trump to any illegal activities or misconduct involving Giuffre or others.

On another front, Maxwell’s legal team is reportedly negotiating for immunity in return for her testimony before Congress. Meanwhile, House Republicans are increasing their demands for the release of all Justice Department files related to Epstein. Votes on additional document disclosures could occur as lawmakers wrap up the recent government shutdown.
