On a quiet Wednesday, Ruby Rose was seen with a solemn expression as she ventured outside her Los Angeles residence to check her mail. The Australian actor, known for her distinctive style, was dressed in a black tank top that revealed her array of tattoos. Walking barefoot across her front lawn, she seemed deep in thought, following a recent public spat with fellow actress Sydney Sweeney.
Ruby, 39, opted for a laid-back ensemble, pairing her top with loose-fitting grey jeans. Her demeanor reflected the tense atmosphere surrounding her after she posted a troubling screenshot on Instagram. The image showed a threatening message from an unknown individual, instructing her to “Just kill yourself you stupid c***.”
This disturbing message surfaced in the wake of Ruby’s outspoken criticism of Sydney Sweeney, a prominent figure from the hit series Euphoria. The 28-year-old actress became the focal point of Ruby’s ire, as she blamed Sydney for the lackluster performance of the film “Christy” at the box office.
Ruby’s sharp critique of Sydney comes amid a backdrop of political tension, with Sweeney’s Republican affiliations making her a controversial figure among liberal circles in Hollywood. The unfolding drama highlights the complex dynamics of celebrity interactions in the public eye.
Despite the vile words, Ruby took the threat in her stride as she captioned the screenshot: ‘Lol and men wonder why they are lonely.’
The horrific DM came after Ruby lashed out at Euphoria actress Sydney, 28, this week, blaming her for the disastrous box office debut of the movie Christy.

Ruby targeted Sydney in a blistering takedown after her Republican views left her as a widespread target for left-leaning stars.
Ruby took to Threads on Monday to hit out at Sydney for her role in the biopic Christy, following the life of esteemed boxer and domestic abuse survivor Christy Martin.
After the movie’s release over the weekend, the lacklustre reception – including one of the lowest ever domestic openings for a wide release – has set tongues wagging, leading into Ruby’s explosive rant towards Republican Sydney.
In her online spray, she hit out at Sydney, and said she was originally set to play Christy, who she calls ‘Cherry’ in the message, and that the original line-up was nearly entirely queer, before claiming Sydney ‘hates gay people’.
She wrote: ‘The original Christy Martin script was incredible. Life changing. I was attached to play Cherry. Everyone had experience with the core material. Most of us were actually gay. It’s part of why I stayed in acting. Losing roles happens all the time.
‘For her PR to talk about it flopping and saying SS did it for the “people”. None of “the people” want to see someone who hates them, parading around pretending to be us. You’re a cretin and you ruined the film. Period. Christy deserved better.’
Despite her allegations that Christy ‘deserved better’, the boxer, who shot to fame in the 1990s with 49 wins under her belt, has thrown her support behind Sydney and joined her at many turns of the promo trail.
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Sydney and Ruby for comment.

Christy follows the incredible story of the boxer’s rise to becoming America’s most well–known female boxer in the 1990s, and later her coach–turned–husband’s 2010 attempted murder of her and also her battle with her sexuality.
After escaping her controlling husband, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted second–degree murder, she went on to marry her rival Lisa Holewyne in 2017, after which she become an advocate for domestic violence survivors.
Ruby took particular umbrage with the use of a straight woman playing a queer character, before making her explosive ‘hatred’ comment.
Sydney has becoming a growing target for left–wing stars ever since it was revealed she is a registered Republican, which has come under scrutiny amid her recent commercial controversy.
She commented on how her public image has become monopolised by her views, particularly following her appearance on Saturday Night Live. This political shift has sparked debate among fans and the public.
Controversy has followed Sydney, particularly after a 2022 backlash when images surfaced from her mother’s 60th birthday featuring ‘Make Sixty Great Again’ hats and family members wearing ‘Blue Lives Matter’ shirts.
She tweeted at the time: ‘You guys, this is wild. An innocent celebration for my mom’s milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention. Please stop making assumptions.’
Later she told GQ UK: ‘Honestly I feel like nothing I say can help the conversation. It’s been turning into a wildfire and nothing I can say will take it back to the correct track.’
