JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — In a decisive move, the Johnson City Commission has voted unanimously to allocate an additional $2.64 million to the plaintiffs involved in the “Jane Doe” lawsuit. This decision to increase the settlement amount was made during a commission meeting on Thursday evening. Previously, in February, the commission had agreed to an initial settlement of $28 million. The additional funds mark a significant step in resolving the legal matter. The $2.64 million will supplement the original agreement, underscoring the commission’s commitment to concluding the case fairly and satisfactorily for all parties involved.
