A Colorado-based tourist met a tragic fate in Tobago, where he was discovered dead with a metal object lodged in his back. Authorities reported that Christopher Brown, a 43-year-old builder from Silverthorne, had parted ways with his friends to procure marijuana before the incident occurred.

The grim discovery took place after 10:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday in the tranquil fishing village of Castara. Responding promptly, officers from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service arrived at the scene and later confirmed Brown’s death.

Earlier that evening, Brown had been enjoying dinner and drinks with friends, explaining he intended to buy marijuana before leaving. Unfortunately, his night took a deadly turn, as detailed in a police report.

Investigators have surmised that Brown was the victim of a stabbing, noting multiple wounds on his body and the presence of a metal object embedded in his back. This brutal crime has left many in shock.

In a swift response to the appalling incident, law enforcement has already apprehended a suspect believed to be connected to the murder.

Cops have already apprehended a suspect in the shocking slaughter.

“I can confirm that a suspect is currently in custody,” Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro told the Associated Press on Thursday afternoon, without divulging further information on the individual who was arrested.

A motive for his killing — and the circumstances around it — are not immediately clear.

The TTPS did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment from The Post.

Tobago’s Division of Tourism condemned the stabbing, saying this was “the first such act of violence” in the tranquil fishing village.

It was not immediately clear whether Brown was visiting Tobago or was there for an extended time — or when he had arrived on the island.

Trinidad and Tobago has recorded over 330 homicides so far this year, according to police statistics. A state of emergency over the recent violence is currently in effect for the twin-island nation.

Authorities implemented the measure in July, accusing a criminal network in prisons across the country of plotting to kill key government officials and attack public institutions.

Relatives of Brown were unable to be reached for comment late Thursday.
