In a dramatic turn of events on Black Friday, at least four individuals were taken into custody after a group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators invaded a ZARA store in New York City, as confirmed by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to Fox News.
The protesters were seen blowing whistles and brandishing Palestinian flags. According to reports, one woman vocally accused, “They fund the genocide, Free Palestine!” Meanwhile, another protester shouted at store employees, labeling ZARA as a “genocidal company.”
The NYPD informed the news outlet that when officers arrived at the planned protest outside the fashion retailer’s Fifth Avenue location in Midtown Manhattan, they encountered a gathering of approximately 70 demonstrators.
As the situation intensified, several activists forced their way into the ZARA store but were swiftly removed by police officers, according to video footage cited in the report.
Subsequently, the same group of protesters was captured on video expressing their anger outside the Microsoft store, as stated in the report.
According to the New York Daily News, the police also detained demonstrators who obstructed the nearby Apple Store. Protesters in this location were reportedly carrying signs with messages such as “Think before you buy” and “Israel is killing children.”
