Recently, a judge dismissed the case against former FBI Director James Comey due to technicalities, specifically citing the invalid appointment of interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, who initiated the case. This dismissal was not based on the case’s substance and was done without prejudice, leaving room for the case to be potentially refiled, although concerns about the statute of limitations might arise.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has expressed its intention to appeal the decision. Therefore, it seems premature for Comey to celebrate, as the legal journey appears far from over.

In a conversation with the Epoch Times, FBI Director Kash Patel shared some compelling insights. He revealed that while the DOJ is considering an appeal, they have “multiple options to proceed and we’re executing on all those options.”
“So we’re not done,” Patel emphasized. “I would say stay tuned for right after Thanksgiving, and you’ll see multiple responses, in my opinion.” This indicates he is not solely reliant on this single case, suggesting a strategic plan in place. His confidence in the forthcoming actions is noteworthy.
Additionally, Patel provided intriguing updates about the so-called “burn bags.” Back in July, it was reported that a room at the FBI contained these bags, filled with documents related to the Russia investigation. The discovery sparked numerous questions about the content of these documents. Patel assured that all this information will be made public, allowing for greater transparency.

“So we’re not done,” Patel pointedly noted. “I would say stay tuned for right after Thanksgiving, and you’ll see multiple responses, in my opinion.” Hmm, that sounds good, pass the popcorn. That certainly sounds like he has more than just the one case as an option. He does seem confident about what he has.
That wasn’t all. Patel had more juicy news for us about those “burn bags.” We reported at the end of July on the stunning news that they found a room at the FBI with the bags, which had Russia probe documents in them. That raised a lot of questions as to what might be in those documents. Patel said all of that information is going to come out, so that we will be able to see it.

“You’re going to see everything we found in that room, in one way or another, be it through investigation, public trial, or disclosure to the Congress,” Patel said.
“It is the single largest weaponization, politicization of law enforcement against America, and specifically targeting a political party, because the institutional elite in Washington, D.C., didn’t like them and didn’t want them to win.
“The American public deserves to have not only accountability but reform to make sure that never happens.”
I think it’s more than time that all this be broken open, we see everything, and we finally get some accountability.
