The Powerball jackpot has surged into the ranks of the top 10 largest prizes in the game’s history as of Wednesday.

WASHINGTON — Have you checked your numbers yet? Wednesday’s Powerball draw offered a staggering $775 million, and you might just be the lucky winner.

Although no one claimed the grand prize, there were still significant wins. Two tickets, one each in California and Florida, secured $1 million, while a ticket in Kentucky, enhanced by the Power Play option, won $2 million.

The jackpot is now set to climb to an impressive $820 million for Saturday’s drawing.

This makes it the second-largest Powerball jackpot for the year, although it doesn’t quite reach the heights of September’s monumental drawing. That event saw two tickets from Missouri and Texas share a colossal $1.8 billion prize, marking the second-largest lottery win in U.S. history.

The last time the jackpot was claimed was on September 6, when winners from Missouri and Texas beat the overwhelming odds of 1 in 292.2 million.

The largest Powerball jackpot remains $2.04 billion, won in California in November 2022. This year has seen three major Powerball wins: the record $1.787 billion September prize, a $526.5 million jackpot claimed in California in March and a $328.5 million prize won in Oregon in January.
