Emergency services swiftly responded to an incident on North Terrace in Bankstown yesterday at approximately 2:30 p.m. following reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 55-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his torso. Paramedics provided immediate medical attention at the scene before transporting the man to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
Shortly after the incident, authorities apprehended a 27-year-old man. He was taken into custody at Bankstown Police Station.
The suspect faces charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public area.
He is scheduled to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
The charged man will front Parramatta Local Court today.
An 18-year-old man was also arrested shortly after the alleged stabbing.
No other charges have been laid.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
