Giroir: RFK Jr. Needs to 'Unconditionally' Advocate for Measles Vaccine, Lack of Vaccination Causing Deaths, Outbreak

During Monday’s episode of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” former Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, Adm. Brett Giroir, emphasized that the recent measles outbreak and fatalities are a direct consequence of insufficient vaccination efforts. He urged that the Trump administration, with Secretary Kennedy at the forefront, should strongly promote measles vaccinations for everyone eligible.

Giroir highlighted that the United States is currently grappling with its most severe measles outbreak in decades. He pointed out that the cases and the three deaths recorded this year are due to inadequate vaccination coverage. Giroir stressed the importance of parents consulting with healthcare providers to ensure their children are vaccinated, to avoid a scenario where more children succumb to measles in the following year.

Describing the situation as both distressing and humiliating, Giroir expressed concern that the U.S., known for its technological prowess, risks losing its status as a country where measles is eliminated. He deemed this entirely preventable situation as disgraceful.

He concluded by reasserting that the Trump administration, particularly Secretary Kennedy, should champion the cause of measles vaccinations without reservation. Giroir assured that the measles vaccine is a safe and highly effective measure, unlike the disease itself, which leads to significant suffering and death.
