Tracy Reiner, who was welcomed by Rob via adoption during his marriage to the late Penny Marshall, broke her silence about the “Stand by Me” director’s death.
“I came from the greatest family ever,” Tracy told NBC News. “I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
She also told NBC News that she had seen her dad a day prior at a family gathering.
Who was Rob Reiner?

His role as Meathead in the 1970s TV classic “All in the Family” alongside Carol O’Connor’s Archie Bunker catapulted him to fame.
In recent years, he had a role on “New Girl” playing Bob Day, the father of main character Jess Day, played by Zooey Deschanel.
The son of comedy legend Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner married photographer Michele Singer Reiner in 1989. The two met while he was directing “When Harry Met Sally.” They had three children together: Nick, Jake and Romy.
Michele Singer Reiner was a producer for “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues,” “God & Country,” “Albert Brooks: Defending My Life” and “Shock and Awe,” according to IMDB. Earlier in her career, she photographed the cover image of President Donald Trump’s 1987 bestseller “The Art of the Deal.”
