Orange County, Fla. – A serious accident involving a mini-motorcycle on Saturday evening has left one individual in critical condition, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at approximately 6:38 p.m. along Silver Star Road, creating a tragic turn of events for the driver of the mini-motorcycle, identified as a Honda Navi. The vehicle was heading eastward, just beyond Mercy Drive, when the driver unexpectedly lost control.
The loss of control led to the motorcycle striking a curb, resulting in the rider being forcefully ejected from the bike. The severity of the crash necessitated immediate medical attention, and the driver was subsequently transported to ORMC, where they remain in critical condition.
As authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, a roadblock has been implemented on the eastbound lanes of Silver Star Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the driver of the mini-motorcycle lost control and struck a curb and was then thrown from the bike.
The driver was taken to ORMC in critical condition, according to the FHP.
Troopers said there is currently a roadblock for the eastbound lanes on Silver Star Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
