A Chicago man is desperately seeking answers after his wife, a special education teacher, vanished four days ago.
Linda Brown, aged 53, was last observed on Saturday morning in the Bronzeville neighborhood of the city, specifically in the 4500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
According to an online flyer from the Chicago Teachers Union, she was supposed to head to an acupuncture session in the Wicker Park area but never showed up.
Her husband, Antwon Brown, shared with FOX 32 Chicago that they spent the previous evening watching a movie at home before going to sleep. By the time he awoke the next morning, she had already left the house.
“I’m at a loss, I don’t know what else to do. I’ve tried everything. I’m reaching out to people; we have search efforts underway, but I’m out of options,” he expressed.
Attempts to contact her via calls and messages have gone unanswered.
Antwon Brown said Linda has a history with mental health issues but had never left home before without returning. Chicago police said she may be in need of medical attention.
On Tuesday, Antwon said his wife’s car, a blue Honda Civic, had been found. Police have not released any details on its location, as the investigation into her disappearance continues.
“I am terrified,” Antwon said, according to NBC Chicago. “I am just shaking. I need my wife home.”
Brown, a teacher at Robert Healy Elementary School, is described as standing 5 feet tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion.
