An infamous figure in the criminal underworld accumulated nearly $1 million in assets, which included real estate, a high-end Mercedes, a speedboat, and over $105,000 in cash, before he was killed in broad daylight.

Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim, aged 32, met his end when a group of unidentified gunmen shot him in the underground parking area of Preston’s Quest Hotel, located in Melbourne’s northern area, on January 28 of last year.

As the first anniversary of his death approaches, the Victorian Supreme Court has released documents detailing that the former biker, who later became a champion kickboxer, owned assets valued at $965,000.

His assets included a property in Coburg North worth $800,000, a Mercedes Benz GLC3 valued at $80,000, and a 2011 Four Winns V285 speedboat priced at $50,000, according to a report by News Corp.

Additionally, Abdulrahim held $31,000 in various bank accounts, with another account outside Victoria containing a balance of $74,918.44.

Despite this wealth, Abdulrahim’s extravagant lifestyle also left him with significant debts, amounting to a total of $673,000 owed on his property and the Mercedes.

Another bank account had a negative balance of $1,156.

Estate documents submitted to the court indicate an estate of up to $360,000 once the debts are cleared.

Abdulrahim did not leave a will, but his three-year-old daughter is understood to be the main beneficiary of his estate.

Abdulrahim’s father Farouk and sister, Natali, previously lodged separate claims for a slice of his estate.

‘I am one of the parents of the deceased,’ Mr Abdulrahim previously stated in court documents.

‘The deceased left one child, four siblings and two parents. The deceased left no spouse, domestic partner, registered caring partner, grandchildren or great-grandchildren that survived the deceased by 30 days or more.’

Abdulrahim is believed to have been shot up to 10 times inside the underground car park of the Quest Hotel.

The suspected getaway car, a stolen white Porsche, was found burnt out in nearby Reservoir.

The former Mongol bikie had been the target of three murder contracts, a prison bashing, three assaults, a dozen firebombings and seven shootings.

Despite a lavish lifestyle, Abdulrahim was also in debt at the time of his death, owing a combined $673,000 on his property and Mercedes

In one attempted hit while returning home from his cousin’s funeral in 2022,  Abdulrahim was shot eight times and survived, and in another he escaped a barrage of bullets.

At the time of his death, he had been in hiding after two shootings at his former family home in Thomastown in 2024.

On the run from underworld enemies, he changed his address five times on the advice of Victoria Police.

It’s understood he had flown home from Asia days before the deadly ambush.

Abdulrahim’s killers remain at large.
