Candice Swanepoel and Tom Brady appear to have embarked on a new romance—and the pair may share more than their high-profile status.
Earlier this month, reports emerged that the 38-year-old Victoria’s Secret model had been seeing the 49-year-old retired NFL star for “some time.”
People reported that the two are taking a cautious approach to their relationship as they try to keep the details private.
“They’ve been dating for a while now,” a source told the outlet. “They both live in Miami, so it’s very convenient. They’re spending a lot of time together.”
A second source said: “Candice and Tom have been dating for months. She’s been very secretive and selective about who she’s told about their dating.”
The reported couple are also said to have connected through parenthood. Swanepoel shares sons Anacan, 10, and Ariel, eight, with her former partner Hermann Nicoli.
Brady is the father of son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, as well as son Jack, 19, with former partner Bridget Moynahan.
Their connection may also extend to their approach to beauty and appearance.
Candice Swanepoel and Tom Brady appear to have begun a new romance—and they may have more in common than first meets the eye
Dr Melinda Lacerna Kimbrell, a double board-certified plastic surgeon and owner of LA Plastic Surgery, spoke to Our News Outlet about the appearance of both celebrities.
Beginning with Swanepoel, the specialist said: “Candice’s face appears to have been deliberately contoured through a combination of removing volume in some areas and adding it in others.”
Dr Kimbrell, who has performed more than 1,000 facelifts, first drew attention to what she described as “sharply localized hollowing” beneath Swanepoel’s cheekbones—an appearance she said does not resemble typical aging.
“Normal aging usually causes a more gradual and diffuse loss and redistribution of facial volume.
“To my eye, it appears more consistent with surgical excision of the buccal fat pads than with ordinary aging or weight loss,” said Dr Kimbrell, who has not treated either celebrity.
The surgeon also suggested that Swanepoel may have received filler in her lateral cheeks, chin and lips.
“That combination creates stronger highlights and shadows and produces the sharply contoured appearance people are noticing,” she said. In her view, the effect makes Swanepoel’s face look longer, slimmer and more angular.
Dr Kimbrell further observed that the model’s outer brows and the corners of her eyes appear “noticeably more elevated and elongated than they did earlier in her career.”

“That looks more consistent with a lateral brow lift combined with a lateral fox-eye procedure than with Botox alone.
“A lateral brow lift changes the position of the brow, while a fox-eye procedure changes the orientation of the outer eye.

“When the two are combined, the upper face can appear more elongated, feline and dramatically lifted,” she explained.
Dr Kimbrell also offered an opinion on Swanepoel’s nose, suggesting that it appears to have been surgically refined.
“The dorsum—or bridge—looks narrower, and the tip appears more defined than the boxier nasal tip visible in earlier photographs.
“Makeup can contour a nose in still images, but the degree of structural refinement suggests the possibility of a conservative rhinoplasty.
“The result does not look like an entirely different nose. It looks like her original nose was narrowed and refined, which is usually the goal of a well-executed rhinoplasty,” she added.
Brady, meanwhile, may also have undergone cosmetic procedures, with Dr Kimbrell identifying “possible signs of a brow lift, lower-face liposuction, masseter-muscle reduction and potentially buccal-fat-pad removal.”

Do celebrities owe fans honesty about cosmetic procedures, or is privacy more important?
However, she cautioned that some of the volume loss in Brady’s face could also be explained by weight loss and the natural aging process.
“Reducing the masseter muscles can narrow the back portion of the jaw, while lower-face liposuction reduces fat along the jawline and beneath the chin.
“When those changes are combined with overall facial-volume loss, the result is a much leaner and more sharply defined lower face,” she explained.
In conclusion, Dr Kimbrell said that although the newly linked celebrities do not appear to share the “same cosmetic blueprint,” they do have a “similarly sculpted aesthetic.”
“Candice’s face appears to have been deliberately contoured through a combination of removing volume in some areas and adding it in others.
“Tom’s face appears to have narrowed through a different combination of lower-face contouring, muscle reduction, weight loss and normal age-related volume loss,” she said.
The expert identified “two possible points of overlap” involving some form of brow elevation and possible reduction of the buccal fat pads.
“While the procedure names may overlap, the techniques, proportions and final effects appear very different.
“I would describe this as a similar silhouette reached through two different cosmetic road maps—not matching makeovers,” Dr Kimbrell concluded.
