An Ohio resident faced formal charges this month for allegedly abducting a sales associate during a test drive, transforming it into a personal errand run. The peculiar incident unfolded at a Marysville car dealership on December 19, 2025.

Todd Marrs, aged 51, visited Performance Luxury to inquire about test-driving a Jeep Wrangler, as reported by WBNS.

During the drive, the sales associate observed that Marrs deviated from the standard route, making an unexpected stop at a warehouse where he lingered in the parking lot for five minutes. When she urged him to return to the dealership, he allegedly responded dismissively, β€œNo, now you’ll sit there and wait like a good girl.”

Attempting to alert her colleagues, the associate sent text messages and shared her location. However, when she tried to call for help, Marrs reportedly seized her phone and tossed it onto the floor.

Continuing his erratic journey, Marrs drove to a local hospital, where he picked up a friend, and told the associate he would only return to the dealership after completing his errands.

Eventually, the vehicle returned to the dealership, now carrying both Marrs and his friend.

After he was indicted this week on charges of abduction and disrupting public services, he was arraigned and given a $250,000 bond.

He’s due in court again on January 29, Law&Crime said.
