The Neptune Beach Police Department took to Facebook on Thursday to inform the public about the arrest. The incident in question occurred on January 10, when officers were dispatched in response to reports of gunfire from a moving vehicle during a road rage altercation. This alarming event was further intertwined with another incident in nearby Jacksonville Beach, where a vehicle matching the same description was involved.

In a commendable display of collaboration, the Neptune Beach Police Department joined forces with the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. Their coordinated efforts led them to a suspect vehicle parked at a residence in Neptune Beach, aligning with the details provided by witnesses.

The investigating officers, drawing from both the patrol and criminal investigations divisions of Neptune Beach PD, swiftly secured search warrants for the vehicle and the residence where it was discovered. During their thorough examination, they uncovered a spent shell casing inside the vehicle, which they promptly seized as evidence.

Following these investigative breakthroughs, Fabio Ladino was officially taken into custody. The case highlights the effectiveness of multi-agency cooperation in swiftly responding to and resolving such dangerous incidents, ensuring the safety of the community.

During the search, officers recovered a spent shell casing from the vehicle, which was later seized. As a result of the investigation, Fabio Ladino, 43, was arrested.

Ladino was booked into the Duval County Jail on the following charges:

• Discharging a firearm from a vehicle within 1,000 feet of another person
• Resisting an officer without violence
• Possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana
