The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has taken a new turn, as her domestic workers have reportedly provided DNA samples to law enforcement. This development comes a week into the investigation of her mysterious disappearance.
According to sources cited by Fox News, Guthrie’s pool cleaner and landscaper are among those who have submitted buccal swabs to assist in the ongoing probe. This effort is part of the wider investigation that now includes newly released surveillance footage and images by the FBI, showing a suspect near Guthrie’s residence in Tucson on the evening of January 31.
Authorities from Pima County have established that Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home on the night before her disappearance, which was on January 31. Concerns rose the next day when she did not show up at a friend’s house for virtual church services, prompting alarm among her acquaintances.
While the investigation continues, officials have yet to announce any suspects in what is being treated as an abduction. Meanwhile, investigators are examining two ransom notes that were allegedly sent to local media outlets, adding a layer of urgency to the case.
