In a significant development, Jacksonville rapper Ksoo, legally known as Hakeem Robinson, entered a guilty plea on Monday for the second-degree murder of 16-year-old Adrien “Bibby” Gainer. The plea is related to a crime that took place in 2019.

Robinson was sentenced to 10 years in prison for this offense, adding to his existing life sentence for a separate murder conviction in July 2025. The previous conviction pertains to the 2020 murder of Charles “Lil Buck” McCormick.

The tragic events unfolded on February 25, 2019, at the New Hope Apartments in Jacksonville, formerly recognized as Hilltop Village Apartments. According to the arrest warrant, investigators discovered 45 shell casings at the crime scene, underscoring the violent nature of the incident.

The warrant details that on the day of Gainer’s murder, Robinson pursued the teenager through the apartment complex, ultimately shooting him at close range in the head and neck area. In a disturbing turn, Robinson allegedly took to social media afterward, posting images and videos where he appeared to boast about the crime.

Robinson’s life sentence stems from his conviction in the murder of McCormick, which was finalized on October 1, 2025. This latest plea and sentencing further solidify his lengthy incarceration.

Robinson received life in prison for the January 2020 murder of Charles “Lil Buck” McCormick on Oct. 1, 2025.

McCormick was shot to death in Dames Pointe Plaza on Merrill Road on Jan. 15, 2020. The crime was motivated by the death of Robinson’s stepbrother Willie Addison, who was shot when coming out of a club exactly a year before McCormick’s murder.

The two murder cases are related to a web of other crimes in Jacksonville and other parts of the state involving a gang rivalry. Robinson’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr., brother Abdul Robinson Jr., and cousin Leroy Whitaker were also convicted in McCormick’s murder.

Abdul Robinson Sr. was sentenced to time served, Abdul Robinson Jr. was sentenced to 12 years, and Whitaker received life in prison.
