A man from Baltimore is facing serious charges of first-degree murder and multiple armed robberies following an alleged nine-day crime spree that culminated in the death of a convenience store employee.

Authorities in Baltimore have apprehended 52-year-old Brian Burrows in connection with a deadly shooting and a series of commercial armed robberies, including the killing of Khaled Saleh Mohamed Alshariki on February 13.

Legal documents reveal Burrows is implicated in three distinct incidents that occurred on February 6, February 13, and February 15. In total, he is charged with 21 offenses, which include one count of first-degree murder, three counts of armed robbery, first-degree assault, and firearm usage during a violent crime, as well as carrying a handgun.

Additionally, he is charged with two counts each of robbery and second-degree assault, alongside accusations of reckless endangerment, theft, and firearm discharge.

Police reports detail that officers were dispatched in response to a shooting incident at approximately 9:30 a.m. on February 13, where they discovered a 36-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim, identified as Alshariki, was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

FOX45 News in Baltimore reported it obtained charging documents in the cases, which state surveillance footage captured a suspect approaching Alshariki as he worked behind the counter, pulling out a gun, demanding money and firing a fatal shot.

Court records show investigators used facial recognition technology to identify Burrows as a possible match.

Two days later, another armed robbery was reported at Family Grocery and Tobacco, about a half mile north of the Broadway store.

Police said witness statements and surveillance footage helped identify Burrows, and investigators allege the video evidence also linked him to the fatal shooting.

Court records also show Burrows had an outstanding probation violation warrant issued in September 2025 in a prior armed robbery case. In that case, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with 13 years suspended, and placed on supervised probation before his release.

Burrows remains held without bond as prosecutors pursue the murder and robbery charges, while the probation violation from his prior armed robbery case remains pending.
