President Trump says a 'large number' of Iranian leaders were killed in the US-Israeli joint strikes

In a significant development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported the deaths of numerous Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following U.S.-Israeli airstrikes. This operation, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” marks a pivotal moment in Middle Eastern geopolitics.

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to announce Khamenei’s death, labeling him as “one of the most evil people in history.” The airstrikes, coordinated between the U.S. and Israeli forces, resulted in the elimination of 40 top Iranian officials, according to the IDF.

The officials killed in the operation reportedly included Iran’s Minister of Defense, the Head of Intelligence, and the Supreme Leader’s Advisor for Security Affairs and Secretary of the Defense Council. These losses signify a substantial blow to Iran’s leadership structure.

“I don’t mean like two people,” the President told the outlet, without specifying a number.

There were three attacks Saturday, the President said, adding “you know about the one that was covered, but there were two other attacks, which inflicted very great losses on their leadership.”

When asked by NBC News who he believes will replace the Supreme Leader, Trump joked, “I don’t know, but at some point they’ll be calling me to ask who I’d like.”

“I’m only being sarcastic when I say that,” he added.
