A dramatic incident unfolded on Friday when a car crashed into the entrance of Florida’s exclusive enclave known as ‘Billionaire Bunker,’ causing significant disruption. The vehicle collided with the security gates at the entrance to Indian Creek Island, a luxurious sanctuary near Miami Beach.

This secluded haven, home to distinguished figures like Ivanka Trump, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Tom Brady, was thrown into chaos as the crash blocked the sole bridge leading to the island. Emergency teams were quick to respond to the scene, where the aftermath revealed several vehicles severely damaged with airbags deployed.

Among the wreckage, a grey SUV and a black sedan were prominently involved, situated in opposing directions near the heavily-guarded entrance. One of the vehicles had violently collided with the island’s imposing black metal security gates, dislodging them from their position.

The accident effectively isolated the man-made island in Biscayne Bay, as the only access route was obstructed, prompting a swift police response. This incident also caused delays for guests traveling to a wedding within this exclusive community.

Both cars were left facing opposite directions near the guard entrance, and one vehicle appeared to have slammed directly into the island’s black metal security gates, knocking them from their hinges. 

The smash shut down the only way on and off to the man-made island in Biscayne Bay, triggering a police response and delaying guests headed to a wedding inside the gated paradise.

He purchased two neighboring estates that year for a combined $147 million before adding a third mansion in 2024 in an off-market deal reportedly worth $90 million – a transaction that eclipsed the island’s previous $49.9 million sales record.

Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, bought their $24 million 1.3-acre estate on the island in April 2021 after leaving Washington, D.C. The property had previously been owned by record producer Scott Storch.

Access is strictly controlled through the single guarded bridge – the very span brought to a standstill by Saturday’s crash.
