Video shows killer MLB star Dan Serafini's mistress being grilled by cops

A newly released video reveals the tense moment when Samantha Scott, the mistress of former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini, was questioned by police about her role in the violent attack on his in-laws.

Scott has confessed to being an accomplice in the 2021 assault orchestrated by Serafini, which resulted in the death of his father-in-law and a grievous injury to his mother-in-law. Although she survived the shooting, his mother-in-law later tragically died by suicide.

During the interrogation, captured by KRCA, Scott was seen attempting to mislead investigators regarding the events that unfolded on the day of the crime.

Initially, she claimed that she and Serafini met to purchase a truck for his wife, but ended up picking up a package instead. Scott stated that Serafini left her waiting for hours after dropping her off.

However, detectives were unconvinced by her narrative. As Scott nervously clenched her hands, they confronted her with the severity of the charges she faced.

“Mark my word. You are in a lot of trouble,” a detective warned, hinting at possible murder charges. “This does not make sense, you need to tell us exactly what happened.”

After Scott asked for her father to sit in on the interview, she dished out a changed story. Scott said she believed Serafini was picking up cocaine and that she had lied to other detectives.

“When other detectives knocked on your door, you were dishonest with us,” a detective said.

Scott said she did so because she does not believe Serafini committed the murders and didn’t want detectives to suspect him further.

“You guys already thought it was Dan, and I really don’t believe it’s him. And he said you guys already think he’s a drug dealer, so I really didn’t want to add that to the resume,” she said.

The mistress said she believed “in her heart” that Serafini did not commit the murders. “In my heart, I don’t think they did. But I don’t know,” she said.

A judge sentenced Serafini to two life sentences last month for the attack on his in-laws. Scott received a plea deal for her valuable testimony and is currently free but wearing an ankle monitor.
