The announcement follows intense U.S. and Israeli military operations targeting Iran, with Trump claiming that the U.S. has obliterated “100% of Iran’s military capabilities.” This statement came a day after the U.S. conducted significant strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island.

Trump also warned of Iran’s potential to disrupt the Strait despite their losses, stating, “It’s easy for them to launch a drone, lay a mine, or fire a missile at close range along this waterway, regardless of their diminished capacity.”

He identified China, a major importer of Iranian oil, along with France, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, as nations potentially joining this naval effort.

Trump expressed optimism that these countries would contribute to the mission, ensuring that the Strait “will no longer pose a threat from a nation that has been completely incapacitated.”

“In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE!”
