An Air Canada flight attendant experienced a terrifying ordeal at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night when she was violently ejected from a plane that collided with a fire truck, according to sources. Remarkably, she was still secured in her jumpseat when emergency responders found her.

The attendant’s survival from the catastrophic incident involving Flight 8646, which had departed from Montreal, is nothing short of miraculous. At approximately 11:40 p.m., the aircraft struck a fire truck on Runway 4, hitting the middle of the vehicle and causing officers from the Port Authority inside the truck to be forcefully ejected from their seats, sources confirmed.

Tragically, both pilots of the flight lost their lives in the accident.

While the extent of the flight attendant’s injuries remains unclear, authorities reported that a total of 41 passengers and crew members were transported to local hospitals, with some sustaining serious injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that both the airplane and the fire truck had received clearance at the time of the crash—the aircraft was cleared for landing while the fire truck had permission to cross the active runway.
