The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently disclosed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has apprehended five illegal immigrants, each with serious convictions. These individuals, hailing from Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala, and Vietnam, were found guilty of crimes including manslaughter, child sexual assault, and carjacking.

Lauren Bis, the Acting Assistant Secretary of DHS, emphasized the gravity of these offenses in a statement released on Thursday. “Yesterday, ICE arrested criminal illegal aliens convicted for manslaughter, sexually assaulting a child, and carjacking,” she remarked. “Such dangerous criminals should never have been allowed to enter the United States in the first place.”

ICE’s operation highlights the agency’s ongoing commitment to public safety by targeting individuals who pose significant threats to communities. Bis praised the ICE officers, describing them as “patriots who put their lives on the line to remove heinous criminals from our communities.” She urged the public to recognize the challenging work of these officers, suggesting, “Next time you see an ICE officer, thank them for their service to our nation.”
