Hearing postponed for Jenna Strouble, woman charged in Crete Township triple homicide; new details revealed in court

A woman facing charges for the murder of her children’s father and his parents in Crete Township, Illinois, made her initial court appearance on Monday.

Jenna Strouble stands accused of fatally shooting the three individuals.

Although Strouble was present in court, her hearing was postponed due to her attorney being committed to another case at the time.

The courtroom was filled with emotional scenes as both Strouble’s family and the relatives of Jacob Lambert and his parents, Stacy and Patrick Forde, attended the session.

Strouble faces charges of first-degree murder, with authorities alleging that these were calculated attacks on Lambert, with whom she had a relationship and children, and his parents.

According to police reports, Lambert was discovered dead in a vehicle parked in the driveway last Monday, while his parents were found deceased inside the home, near the front entrance, located in the 3400-block of East Norway Trail in Crete Township.

The sheriff’s office said Strouble made incriminating statements after the murders, and police recovered a gun that matched the one used in the incident.

In court Monday, prosecutors accused Strouble of murdering Lambert because she didn’t like how he parented their two children.

They said Strouble and Lambert were in his truck last Sunday night, when she offered to give him a massage.

Prosecutors say she then shot him in the head while he was face down.

Prosecutors claim she then drove to his mom and step-dad’s home, where she started shooting when they opened the door.

Patrick Forde was shot 17 times. Stacy Forde was shot three times.

Strouble was arrested at her parents’ Saint John, Indiana home.

Strouble did waive extradition last week in Lake County, Indiana.

She was initially expected to appear in the Will County Courthouse Tuesday at 9 a.m., but her court date has been pushed back, officials said on Monday evening.
