Donald Trump vows to bring Tehran ‘back to the Stone Ages’

In a nationally televised address on Wednesday, the U.S. President delivered a stern warning to Iran, pledging to push the nation back to the ‘Stone Ages’ if necessary.

The President asserted that American military forces were close to achieving their objectives in Iran but refrained from specifying when the conflict might conclude.

Amid pressure from international allies and declining approval ratings, the President resisted calls to outline a definitive strategy for ending the war, which has now entered its fifth week.

During his first primetime speech since the joint U.S.-Israel offensive began on February 28th, he confidently stated that the U.S. is poised to ‘finish the job very fast,’ claiming that his administration holds ‘all the cards.’

However, he sidestepped significant unresolved issues, such as the handling of Iran’s enriched uranium and the status of the Strait of Hormuz. This crucial maritime route for global oil transport remains effectively blocked by Iran.

Despite these challenges, the President remarked that the strait would ‘naturally’ reopen once the conflict ends, offering little reassurance to both U.S. allies and the American populace.

The president and his advisers have offered shifting explanations and timelines for the conflict, as well as what they will require from Iran for it to end.

While portraying Iran as militarily neutered, Trump also said on Wednesday night the US would hit the nation hard for another two or three weeks.

If the country’s new leaders did not negotiate satisfactorily, he said, his country. would begin attacking the nation’s electricity generation and oil infrastructure.

We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks,” Trump said. ‘

We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages where they belong.”

In the meantime, discussions are ongoing.

Yet if during this period of time, no deal is made, we have our eyes on key targets.”

A day before, Trump told reporters Tehran did not have to make a deal as a condition for the conflict to wind down.
