In-N-Out to open new location in Utah near Zion National Park

California’s beloved burger chain is making its way to the doorstep of the great outdoors.

In-N-Out Burger is opening a new location in St. George, Utah, a bustling town often referred to as the “gateway” for countless tourists traveling to Zion National Park.

For dedicated fans of this iconic West Coast eatery, the announcement is akin to discovering a hidden gem on the secret menu.

This new branch, conveniently located off Interstate 15 and expected to launch this month, represents more than just another fast-food stop; it’s a calculated move designed to capture the appetites of travelers.

St. George is a hot spot in Utah, drawing nearly 5 million visitors to Zion last year alone, based on National Park Service statistics. For these adventurers, it could be the last urban oasis before they venture into the park’s stunning landscapes.

Positioned at 4643 S. Pioneer Road, just past the Nevada-Utah border, this will be the first In-N-Out seen by drivers heading toward Zion, as noted by SFGate.

For the massive influx of California and Las Vegas travelers — who make up Zion’s largest visitor base —the Double-Double is practically a required travel document.

The move comes as In-N-Out continues its aggressive march across the West — and now, the East Coast, too — proving that even as the company celebrates 77 years, it hasn’t lost its appetite for prime real estate.

The St. George location — not the first in the area, but certainly the most strategic — is reportedly positioned to capture more than half of Utah travelers who navigate the state’s “Mighty 5” national parks by car.

But the chain isn’t stopping at the Utah border.

Just south in Nevada, In-N-Out is nearing completion on its most ambitious project to date: a massive, three-story flagship high above the Las Vegas Strip.

The location, on the rooftop of the buzzy BLVD Las Vegas development, signals that the brand is ready to trade its humble drive-thru only roots for a slice of the high-stakes tourism pie.

That store, said to be the largest in the chain at over 10,000 square feet, is expected to debut sometime in 2026.

For homesick Californians, budget-conscious tourists — or anyone stumbling out of a club at 2 a.m. — In-N-Out’s latest Strip outpost promises something increasingly rare in Sin City: a cheap bite.

In addition to the new Vegas and St. George locations, the family-operated burger business has also recently announced more new spots slated to open in Tennessee, Arizona, and Washington.
