A tragic accident unfolded on School Road in Logan Reserve when a vehicle attempted to overtake three cars and collided head-on with a family returning from an Easter dinner around 9 p.m. last night, according to police reports.
In the devastating crash, a mother of four who was traveling in a grey Ford Focus lost her life. Fortunately, a 28-year-old man from Goodna and a two-year-old girl, who were also in the car, escaped without injury.
Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with videos showing hundreds of modified cars causing chaos on the streets. Many individuals, clad in balaclavas, can be seen taunting police officers with rude gestures.
This incident adds to a grim toll, with five other fatalities reported on Queensland’s roads since Thursday.
On Thursday, a car crash in Brisbane’s Wishart area resulted in the death of a passenger, while the driver remains in critical condition. That same day, another vehicle met a similar fate, crashing into a tree in Beerburrum on the Sunshine Coast, leading to the driver’s death. Later in the evening, a motorcyclist lost control and died in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.

A quad bike rider killed inland of Mackay on Saturday, before two motorbikes collided in Killarney on the Southern Downs around 4pm, killing one rider and leaving the other in a critical condition.
