The tragic demise of New Jersey influencer Ashlee Jenae in Zanzibar is currently under investigation, with her fiancé being questioned following a heated argument that led to them being placed in separate hotel rooms.

According to the Tanzania Police Force’s recent update, Joe McCann, 45, is still undergoing police questioning, and his travel documents have been confiscated as part of the investigation.

The police revealed that the influencer’s untimely death is linked to a fierce altercation between the newly engaged couple. The fight was so intense that hotel staff deemed it necessary to relocate McCann to another room to ensure safety.

The dead woman’s father, Harry Robinson, said it has left them overwhelmed with “Uncertainty. Mystery. Anger. Sadness.”

“It’s like a part of me has been taken,” he said.

Earlier this month, McCann popped the question to Robinson, who also celebrated her birthday in April.
