Heather Edens, aged 52, faces murder charges following the death of her husband, 60-year-old James Edens. Official records from the Adair County Regional Jail confirm she was taken into custody on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening at their residence on Red Banks Road in Cumberland County, Kentucky. This rural area is located in the southern part of the state, near the Tennessee border.

According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP), the couple was engaged in an argument at their home. Heather Edens reportedly demanded her husband leave, leading her to allegedly draw a firearm and shoot at him.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a shooting and a “single-vehicle collision,” prompting them to seek assistance from the KSP. Upon investigation, troopers discovered that the “male occupant” of the vehicle had sustained a gunshot wound.

The Cumberland County Sheriff”s Office was called about a shooting and a “single-vehicle collision” and requested that KSP help them in their investigation, troopers say. They responded and found that the “male occupant” of the vehicle in question had suffered a gunshot wound.
