Hollywood has been quick to pay tribute, with many of Muldoon’s friends and colleagues sharing their memories and condolences on social media. Actress Lisa Rinna took to her Instagram Stories to commemorate their time together on “Days Of Our Lives,” posting a nostalgic photo accompanied by a broken-heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Daphne Zuniga, Muldoon’s co-star from “Melrose Place,” expressed her sorrow on Instagram. “So sad to hear about Patrick’s passing. He was such a good, kind guy, always creating, going deeper, challenging himself,” she reflected. “Whether in Larry Moss’s acting class, supporting Best Buddies, or doing major drama together on Melrose Place, he was always the best!” Zuniga added, “I know you’re rocking out and soaring free, Pat! You will be so very missed. My heart goes out to Shana, their parents, and all who were close to him.”
Alison Sweeney, another “Days Of Our Lives” alum, was among the first to express her grief over Muldoon’s death. She wrote on X, “This is such heartbreaking news. Pat was a rare kind of person—brilliantly talented, endlessly kind, and generous in spirit.”

Dean Cain, who acted alongside Muldoon on the Dog Who Saved Christmas film series, kept it brief.
‘RIP, my friend,’ he wrote next to praying and broken heart emojis.
Barbara Eden said, ‘So saddened to learn about the sudden passing of Patrick Muldoon who I costarred with in 2019’s “My Adventures with Santa.” Patrick was a sweet man who was very personable. I enjoyed the time we spent between takes and just enjoying each others company in general during the production of the film.
‘He made the experience even more fun. While the passing of a loved one is never easy, it is especially difficult when it’s unexpected and sudden as I understand Patrick’s was. My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.’

The former star of Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place passed away ‘suddenly’ on Sunday morning at the age of 57, according to Deadline.com, with the publication reporting the actor suffered a heart attack.
His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that ‘Patrick went to take a shower Sunday morning after drinking coffee with his girlfriend in their Beverly Hills home.’
After his girlfriend thought he was taking a long time, she went and ‘found him unconscious on the bathroom floor.’

Paramedics arrived on scene, where they attempted to revive him. She said, ‘There was nothing anyone could do.’
The sad news comes just two days after Muldoon took to Instagram to tell fans he had landed a role producing new movie Kockroach starring Chris Hemsworth, Channing Tatum and Taron Egerton and the movie would be filming in Australia.
He wrote: ‘So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH directed by Matt Ross starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz And Alec Baldwin.

Muldoon grew up in California and started acting in college, landing a role in sitcom Who’s the Boss? and appearing in teen show Saved By the Bell for three episodes shortly after he graduated in 1991.
Muldoon went on to play Austin Reed on hit soap Days Of Our Lives, staying with the show between 1992 and 1995 and returning for a second stint from 2011 until 2012.
In the mid-1990s he was on Melrose Place as villain Richard Hart from 1995 until 1996.

He scored numerous movie roles over the years appearing as Zander Barcalow in Starship Troopers in 1997 and landing a role in 1999’s Stigmata while more recently he appeared in Deadlock in 2021 with Bruce Willis and in 2022 Liam Neeson film Marlowe, with Muldoon also working as a producer on the film.
Last year, he teased soap fans about a possible return to his soap roots by hinting he could be returning to Days Of Our Lives.
In a video posted on the Peacock network’s social media platforms, Muldoon was seen walking around backstage looking for the soap’s studio before realizing he was in the right place and declaring: ‘Oh my God I’m in Salem! It’s good to be back’.
His latest movie Dirty Hands was due to be released later this year.
Muldoon is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, and his parents Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr, as well as his sister Shana and brother-in-law Ahmet Zappa, and their children Halo and Arrow Zappa.
