Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently addressed the potential for negotiations with Iran, emphasizing a firm stance by the U.S. administration.
“President Trump’s resolve is unwavering and his objectives are perfectly clear,” Hegseth stated. “As the President reiterated yesterday, we are in no hurry to strike a deal. He often assures us in private that we have ample time on our side.”

Hegseth pointed out that Iran still has an opportunity to make prudent decisions at the negotiating table. “They have the chance to renounce their pursuit of nuclear weapons in a manner that is both meaningful and verifiable,” he explained. “Alternatively, they can witness the collapse of their already fragile economy under the relentless pressure of American influence.”
“The decision lies with them,” Hegseth concluded, “but with the current blockade, time is certainly not on their side.”
