Man, 64, charged with allegedly pointing laser at police aircraft in Sydney's west

A man has been formally accused of allegedly aiming a laser at a police aircraft during its patrol in Sydney’s southwestern region overnight.

Last night, a Polair aircraft was conducting surveillance over Sydney’s west when it was reportedly targeted by a high-intensity laser beam shortly after 7 p.m.

Authorities tracked the source of the laser to a residence in Wakeley, where they apprehended a 64-year-old individual.
