Reality TV aficionados are no strangers to drama, but a recent rumor has left even the most seasoned Bravo enthusiasts taken aback. A controversial story involving a ‘thirsty cougar’ and her supposed liaison with a younger man is creating a buzz among insiders.
At the center of this speculation is Jennifer Fessler, a former cast member of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Online chatter is rife with claims that she had a one-night encounter with West Wilson from Summer House.
The pair’s age difference is notable: Fessler is 55 and married, while Wilson, at 31, is often seen entangled in romantic escapades. Currently, Wilson is involved in a complicated love scenario that has captured viewers’ attention.
Wilson is dating Amanda Batula, 34, who is still legally married to fellow Bravo personality Kyle Cook, 43. This relationship has caught everyone off guard, including Ciara Miller, 30, a former love interest of Wilson’s. Miller has accused Wilson of having an affair with Fessler.
Fessler addressed these allegations during a recent appearance on Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live, where she firmly denied any romantic involvement with Wilson. However, she did acknowledge that they had exchanged flirtatious messages in the past.
An insider has revealed to the Daily Mail that Fessler’s husband, Jeff, remains supportive of her amidst these swirling rumors.

‘Jenn’s husband Jeff does not believe the rumors,’ the source said. ‘They’re a united family and sticking together. She’s an honest person and those close to her believe she’s telling the truth.’
‘She’s very open,’ they continued. ‘She was very open on the show about she and her husband’s infidelity in the past and she was very open about having sex with James Gandolfini. I think that if this had happened, she would be okay with owning it if she were being called out. But that is not the case and it’s not true.’
Fessler has previously revealed that her husband was unfaithful, and had admitted that she once had multiple affairs. The pair separated for two years before eventually reconciling.
The rumors about Fessler’s cougar romp with Wilson started during an interview with Page Six on May 7 at Vulture’s The Masterminds of Reality TV event. There, Fessler defended Wilson after his relationship with Batula was made public.
‘[West] is the cutest, sweetest golden retriever puppy dog. He does not mean any harm. He didn’t mean it. He’s just trying to have a good time. He doesn’t wanna hurt anyone. Give him a break,’ she said.
The quote got back to Miller who accused Wilson and Fessler of having slept with one another.
Fessler and Wilson are said to have been friends for about two years when the latter joined Summer House.
Old videos of the pair have resurfaced on social media and fans are digging for anything of them together that shows them ‘flirting’ just to stir the pot.
‘Jenn, at first, thought it was funny and was playing into this whole idea of this guy’s kind of the f**k boy of Bravo,’ the source told the Daily Mail. ‘But now it’s taken a nasty turn and people are going around saying they hooked up. She never thought it would turn into such a mess and now, she has to set the record straight about their friendship.’
Fessler appeared on Real Housewives of New Jersey for two seasons, but her contract was not renewed in 2024.
Meanwhile, a second source told the Daily Mail that Bravo execs find Fessler to be a bother. While the network usually loves scandal, the rumors about her and Wilson are a little too sleazy for the brand.
‘Jenn isn’t as well liked compared to other ex-RHONJ stars,’ the insider dished. ‘She wasn’t asked back because she is more of a friend of the housewives, and since Margaret [Josephs] wasn’t brought back, they didn’t see a reason to bring her back.’
‘She gets involved in the wrong kind of drama that Bravo stays away from, and she comes off as being too thirsty for TV.’

Fessler denied the rumor, calling it the ‘definition of libel’
However, the rumor is undeniably good for Summer House ratings – with the three-part reunion concluding on June 9.
‘It’s not like this will be on any Bravo show any time soon so it seems like Bravo is staying out of the drama and letting fans have a field day on social media,’ the insider claimed.
‘Even though this came out after the reunion taping, fans are going to be curious to hear what West has to say about hooking up with multiple women and of course where things stand with him and Ciara.’
Both Wilson and Fessler have vehemently denied Miller’s hookup claim, with Fessler’s representative previously telling the Daily Mail that the ‘accusation is totally false.’
Fessler first responded to Miller’s jaw-dropping accusation on May 8 by telling Page Six, ‘It’s flattering that anyone would think someone who slept with Ciara Miller would be interested in sleeping with me.’
The star also jumped to her Instagram stories to further deny the accusation.
‘In all seriousness…and while I can’t help but be a little flattered, it is not nice, nor is it ok, to post something categorically untrue and defamatory on social media (regardless of whatever rumors or apparent ‘evidence’ led you to that conclusion),’ she wrote.
‘That is the definition of libel. If it were true I would have no recourse. Because it’s a lie, this can get more complicated. Having said that, I hope that we can rectify this. It’s enough now.’
Wilson also addressed his ex Miller’s allegation by taking to his Instagram stories the same day. He shared a meme that depicts confusion and mathematical symbols alongside the text: ‘news to me @jennfessler.’
