The question that’s captivating everyone’s attention is quite intriguing.
What exactly draws Kylie Jenner to Timothée Chalamet?
For years, Kylie has been known for her relationships with Los Angeles rappers: Jaden Smith, Tyga, and then Travis Scott. These were men who carried an aura of aloofness and seemed to keep their public displays of affection minimal to preserve their cool, streetwise image.
So, when an openly affectionate, slender actor with striking cheekbones appeared, seemingly eager to chat about indie films and share tender moments under the rain, it left the internet in a state of bewilderment.
Even now, three years later, catching a glimpse of them radiating affection while enjoying a New York Knicks game courtside still feels rather unexpected.
Unsurprisingly, social media has devised a new theory: perhaps there’s something remarkable about him that isn’t immediately obvious. (This is exactly how one of my close friends put it, too.)
And according to half the women online, apparently ‘skinny boys always do.’
Now, I do have some anecdotal evidence supporting this theory.
Why is Kylie Jenner so enamored with Timothee Chalamet?
Even three years on, seeing this pair loved up while sitting courtside at a New York Knicks game still feels so unexpected.
Last summer, I briefly dated a glorious French man of a similarly wiry stature. I wasn’t even particularly attracted to him, but one evening, over dinner with friends in Paris’ Le Marais district, he opened the wine menu and studied it with such unnecessary seriousness and panache that I found myself becoming strangely turned on.
A few dates later, when we finally got down to business, I was delighted to discover the man was, shall we say, quite gifted.
Oui oui indeed.
I’m sorry to say it gents, and trust me, it was a shock to me as well, but size does make a difference. So, if the whispers about Timothee are true… Kylie, I get it.
But the idea that women are obsessed with a man purely because of his anatomy is also ridiculous.
I’ve done humiliating things for men with wildly average equipment, and, in particular, have lost my mind over one man who should’ve come with a magnifying glass.
That’s why I actually think something much more interesting is going on here.
Timothee simply adores Kylie – it’s obvious. He’s constantly touching her, kissing her, staring at her like she invented happiness.
And if you’re a woman who has spent years being hyper-sexualized, picked apart online and turned into a fantasy… then finding yourself with a man who is genuinely delighted by your existence must feel incredibly refreshing.
He doesn’t act embarrassed by her, nor does he act ‘too cool.’ If anything, he looks like he wants the entire world to know he’s with her: his arm draped around her waist on red carpets, her hand on his thigh while sitting courtside. Let’s not forget when he publicly professed his love at the Critics Choice Awards this year, or their matching tangerine outfits at the Marty Supreme premiere. A horrific crime of fashion, yet kind of adorable.

I suspect a lot of women understand exactly why this behavior would become addictive, particularly after dating emotionally unavailable men whose version of affection is occasionally sending a flame emoji in response to your Instagram Story.
So, contrary to popular belief, female desire cannot be reduced down to centimeters, as though women are all secretly walking around with tape measures in our handbags.
Ask women privately what actually makes someone unforgettable, and very few start with size. In truth, most women are quietly falling apart over simple but meaningful things like enthusiasm and eye contact.
Instead, we admire the men who top off our wine at dinner. The ones who send a ‘made it home?’ text without being prompted by the ghost of his mother. The ones who act genuinely thrilled to be seen beside us.
Seriously, if a man knows how to make a restaurant reservation ahead of our date and call me an Uber, then heck, I’m yours for life.
Because nothing satisfies a woman more than a man who unapologetically loves her. Kylie, it seems, included.
So, to quote When Harry Met Sally: ‘I’ll have what she’s having.’
