In a recent turn of events, Kai Trump, the teenage granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, has secured a restraining order against an individual accused of stalking her. This move comes as a protective measure for the 19-year-old, who is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump.
According to reports from TMZ, Kai filed the legal petition back in April in the state of Florida, targeting a 26-year-old man named Gabriel Garza Jr. During the court proceedings, Kai revealed that Garza is currently without a permanent residence, living out of his car in the areas around Jupiter and Palm Beach County.
Initially, Kai was granted a temporary restraining order, which was later extended by a judge in a hearing held on May 14. This extension solidifies the order until May 2027, offering Kai a longer period of security.
The restraining order comes with specific prohibitions for Garza, including bans on stalking, cyberstalking, and any actions that could result in physical harm or fatality. Furthermore, the order restricts Garza from coming within 500 feet of Kai’s residence or workplace, ensuring a buffer zone for her safety.
The order prohibits Garza from stalking, cyberstalking, or committing any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death.
The alleged stalker is banned from going within 500 ft of Kai’s home or place of work.
Trump’s granddaughter announced on May 4 that she would be attending the University of Miami, where Garza will reportedly not be allowed to approach her as well.
Initially, the hearing was set April 30, but Kai requested that it be rescheduled for the following Thursday so she would not miss her final day of high school.

Reyes also allegedly said to officers that he was also looking for Trump because he wanted to talk about ‘the gospel.’
The president was in Washington D.C. at the time, and his granddaughter was vacationing in the Bahamas.
The teenage golfer was a familiar face on Trump’s campaign trail and has amassed adoring fans, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of her bond with her grandpa on social media.
She was recently spotted with her mother, shortly after the 48-year-old announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Vanessa and Kai were seen strolling through a shopping mall in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday.
The mother said she had undergone a ‘procedure’ earlier in the week, in a post on Instagram on Wednesday.

She also shared a video that showed her getting ready for her big day, as her mother remarked, ‘I can’t believe she’s graduating today.’
