Idaho daredevil dad balanced a running chainsaw on his chin to break world record

Chin up and face the challenge.

A thrill-seeking father achieved a daring feat by balancing a running chainsaw on his chin, setting a new world record.

David Rush, hailing from Idaho, achieved a remarkable milestone by maintaining a running chainsaw on his chin for an impressive 4 minutes and 0.99 seconds.

Rush, who manages technology projects and also coaches his son’s soccer team, accomplished this nerve-wracking stunt during the team’s final practice of the season.

“When I shared what I was about to attempt, the parents’ expressions conveyed everything: disbelief mixed with genuine worry,” remarked Rush, who has also showcased his talent on “America’s Got Talent,” on his website.

Known for holding the highest number of concurrent Guinness World Records—over 350—Rush initially set this record in May of last year, though it was officially recognized only this year.

Rush, who holds the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles, with over 350, actually set the record last May, but the record book just confirmed it this year.

He explained that to qualify for the record, “the chainsaw has to cut wood before the attempt begins, and the blade must remain engaged and spinning for the entire duration.”

“I had a safety crew stationed nearby with one job: unplug the saw the moment it fell,” he added.

Although he is not interested in attempting the perilous record again, Rush said he’s pleased with his unusual accomplishment.

“I have no desire to ever do this one again, but I’m proud that the record is mine,” he wrote.

“It was a powerful reminder that while we can push ourselves to extraordinary lengths, we must also respect the lines between determination and sheer recklessness.
